Fashion Shop POS SaaS
Multi-tenant SaaS Point-of-Sale platform for fashion retail with real-time web-desktop sync and 40% faster inventory management.
The Challenge
A growing fashion retail chain needed a unified Point-of-Sale (POS) system to manage inventory, sales, and online orders across multiple stores and wholesale operations. Existing solutions lacked seamless desktop-web synchronization, real-time data sharing between retailer and wholesaler workflows, and scalable multi-store support, leading to inventory discrepancies, delayed reporting, and inefficient order fulfillment.
The business required a SaaS model to onboard new stores quickly without custom deployments, support both B2C retail and B2B wholesale scenarios, and provide attractive, intuitive interfaces for non-technical users.
The Solution
We engineered a multi-tenant SaaS POS with ASP.NET Core APIs as the backbone, Blazor Server/WebAssembly for a fully responsive web application (primary interface), and .NET MAUI desktop clients for high-performance store terminals, all sharing a single Azure SQL Database with TenantId-based isolation for data security and scalability.
Custom sync via SignalR enables real-time inventory/sales updates across web, desktop, and mobile browsers. Core features encompass tenant-specific product catalogs, invoice/purchase order automation, wholesaler-retailer workflow toggles, and interactive dashboards with top-customer/product analytics powered by Power BI Embedded.
Tech Stack
Implementation
We oversaw an agile delivery for multi-tenant schema and APIs, Blazor web app with Syncfusion controls (grids, charts), MAUI desktop, SignalR sync, Stripe integration, and reports, followed by PWA optimization, security audits, and multi-tenant rollout.
Our 6-person team deployed via Azure App Service (web) and Azure Container Instances (desktop sync services), with GitHub Actions CI/CD. Tenant isolation used ASP.NET middleware and row-level security; web performance hit 60fps with Blazor's efficient rendering.
Results & Impact
Web-desktop real-time updates cut inventory discrepancies
Web-accessible reports enabled quick promotions for 20+ tenants
SaaS web portal live in <2 hours per store
Shared web infrastructure scaled holiday peaks efficiently
Key Takeaways
Web-based SaaS with Blazor delivers cross-device reach while multi-tenancy (TenantId scoping + shared infra) scales effortlessly-ideal for retail POS evolution. Hybrid web/desktop sync via SignalR proves reliable for real-world inventory, blending browser accessibility with terminal speed.
Outcome
The Fashion Shop POS SaaS platform now powers 20+ stores with seamless B2C and B2B workflows, providing the retail chain with a scalable foundation for continued growth and easy onboarding of new locations.
